Oh Photos..
I just experienced the most amazing sense of Deja Vu. I was sitting here getting excited to take pictures of Heather and her family and my friends. Thinking how I’d set the shots up, pair whom with whom, separates of just the kids, etc. Then I REMEMBERED doing this WITH THE SAME PEOPLE, only I was 13, in Junior High. Remembering my little point and shoot 35mm I brought to school all the time. Remembering grouping shots of my friends, couples together, cliques and loners separately. I remember begging mom to get all my rolls of film developed. How expensive it was, and picking WHICH rolls I would get to have developed and which would have to wait. And the excitement of picking them up, the smell of the glossy paper, and picking out my favorite shots. Going home and cutting them into shapes and putting them in my scrapbook/photobook. I did this all through school, in high school I would always take Halloween shots (I still have most of these) of my friends, grouped by the same standards as when I was in Junior High.
And now I’m doing it, only I’m 30. It’s kind of cute. That this little person has always been inside of me. And how excited I get in this honest real way about documenting my life, or capturing moments. How fun it is for me. It’s just…neat.

Sometimes I get to see this on my drive home. I had my camera on me on one such occasion and pulled over for a few quick shots of the pink Kirby clouds.
Some days the pink clouds remind me of the river of slime under New York in Ghostbusters 2.
And other days the clouds and creepy reds and purples look like the sky and cloud formations over the house in Poltergeist right before all the mayhem and ghostliness happens.
