		<description>I&#039;m glad you decided to publish.  

I thought about that fat comment and it was rolling around in my coconut for a good while; it was a little confusing to me.  I kept imagining where the constructive angle on that thought may have originated, but it was implied -- or stated, I don&#039;t really recall.  

But it had me wondering if the overload of Political Correctness didn&#039;t finally open up direct conduits to genuine prejudice and resentment in people.  Maybe it&#039;s the recent emphasis on bullying in the news, but everyday I wonder whether our cruelty quotient hasn&#039;t risen just a bit.  

I really think we used to be a lot more tolerant as a society, even if certain sectors of our larger community did unjustly target particular groups.  Is the overweight sliver the last &#039;fair target&#039; in a landscape of taboos?</description>
